Our goal is to make working together smooth and easy to understand

The process.

Choose your quilting service.

Longarm quilting is priced per square inch. To estimate a price, measure the length and width of your quilt top, multiply them together, and then multiply by the charge per square inch. For Example: 40” wide x 60” length = 2400 square inches2400 x .025 = $60This estimate, with the correct price per square inch, will be very close to your final price. We do not add separate charges for loading, thread use, etc, most things are included in one convenient price. There is a $50 minimum charge.

Prepare your quilt top.

Longarm quilting will have the best finish when done on a flat, square quilt top. Perfection isn’t required, but straight edges and properly attached borders will be very helpful. Carefully trim any loose threads on your top (and on the back of your top!) and ensure that seams are pressed flat.

Add other services.

Before quilting, we can piece your quilt back and properly press your top and backing in order to get the best possible finish. After quilting, we can trim your quilt and apply the binding. If there are repairs or changes that must be made, there will be a $20 per hour charge to complete these.

Prepare your backing.

Backing needs to be at least 4” wider than the quilt on all sides. For example, a 60” x 80” quilt requires at least a 68” x 88” backing. This allows the backing to be loaded onto the longarm properly. Backing needs to be square and well pressed to avoid tucks and pleats.

Choose your batting.

We prefer Quilters Dream Batting and stock two options:

80/20 Cotton/Poly - $12 per yard

100% Wool - $15 per yard

You may provide batting, but please discuss it with us, as the quality of the batting can greatly effect the final product
